Beetween the Harz Mountains and the river Weser lies a charming countryside among the foothills of south Lower-Saxony called Ambergau. Bockenem, a medival town with half-timber houses, historical buildings, old churches and beautiful parks, is located beetween Hildesheim and Seesen am Harz. The town even offers a heated public swimming pool for Your enjoyment. At the western tower of the turmuhren and local history museum on the market place of Bockenem a bell play donated by the citizen association plays at 10.55h, 14.55h, 16.55h and on sundays at 11.15h.
